Why Buying Locally Helps

This link is a great article by small business guru Rhonda Abrams, about the importance of buying from locally-owned, independent businesses.

GardenWalk has recently joined BUILD St. Louis (Businesses United for Independent Local Development), which is helping to raise awareness about the importance of buying locally.  Here is a bit from their website, or please check it out at buildstlouis.org.

Spend wisely. Buy from local independent businesses!

Buy more from local independents and homegrown chains, less from non-local chains and franchises. Ask your friends and family to do the same. The dollars we spend with locally owned independents keep city and county neighborhoods distinctive, vibrant, and stable. Company profits remain here. Local owners share local concerns with the rest of us and are here to stay. Their survival and success is essential to our local economy and quality of life. They truly help build St. Louis.

GardenWalk has been locally owned and operated in Lafayette Square since 2004.  We strive to provide the best quality massage at affordable prices.  We won’t high pressure sell you on membership (though we do have a membership program now that’s only $59/month).  We give you personalized time and attention.  We love what we do and we’re here to help you feel your best.  And at GardenWalk, an hour massage is 60 minutes hands-on.

Please call us when you’re ready to schedule your next appointment.  Plus, look for our online scheduling, where you can book your own appointments on our website…coming soon!

Thank you for supporting locally owned, independent business.
